New York - June, 2025: QT Queenstown is set to significantly expand the award-winning QT Hotels & Resorts brand with the full conversion of the existing 152-room Rydges Lakeside Queenstown hotel. The transformation will integrate the property with the current 69-room QT Queenstown, and upon completion, will be comprised of a total of 222 rooms - the majority with guest balconies - to take in the stunning Lake Wakatipu waterfront.

The new QT facilities seek to indulge both wellness and adventure travelers - including a state-of-the-art gym and a pool with facilities to cater to hikers, mountain bikers, skiers and snowboarders. The expansion will also offer guests the established, exceptional QT hospitality, bold design-led spaces, high-quality conferencing and event facilities, and delicious food and beverage experiences.

QT Queenstown will remain open throughout the upgrade. The new QT rooms will become available in stages throughout 2026, with the overall project due to be completed mid-2027.
